1. Introduction
At PaperPilot (https://paperpilot.pincodehelp.com), we respect the fundamental right to digital privacy. This document outlines how our application interacts with your files, what minimal data we collect to maintain stability, and how our advertising partners operate.
2. Your Documents and Files
Unlike conventional online document tools that upload your files to remote web servers or third-party cloud infrastructure, PaperPilot performs all PDF processing directly within your client browser using modern WebAssembly, JavaScript, and HTML5 Canvas APIs.
- Your files are never transmitted across the network to our servers.
- We do not store, copy, or retain any copy of your files.
- All memory allocated during processing is automatically released when you download your file, reset the tool, or close the browser tab.
3. Information We Collect
We do not require user accounts, email addresses, or payment information to use our core PDF utilities. We collect only anonymous, aggregate operational telemetry to diagnose crashes and measure feature usage:
- Aggregate tool actions (e.g., number of times "Merge PDF" completed successfully).
- Error categorization (e.g., "invalid password syntax" or "canvas out of memory").
- Standard web server log headers (IP address, browser user-agent, referring URL, time of request).
Under no circumstances do our telemetry services receive your document content, filenames, or personal identifiers.
4. Advertising and Third-Party Networks
To keep all tools free without charging subscriptions, PaperPilot may display advertising provided by compliant advertising networks (such as Google AdSense).
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.
5. Security
Because user documents remain in local browser memory and are never uploaded, the security of your files is anchored directly to your own device. We implement modern HTTP security headers, Content Security Policies, and secure HTTPS transport across the entire application.
